"Martin O'Connor's script merrily turns the pleasures of a bygone era into some gleefully inventive set pieces...full of fun but painstaking and sophisticated with it" ★★★★★ (The Herald)

"Martin O’Connor’s wonderful ear for dialect is perfectly pitched to entertain the young audience...the script fizzes with energy" ★★★★ (The Stage)

"a little beauty of a show, that radiates such a powerful and loving sense of social history, in such a small space" ★★★★ (The Scotsman)

"Happy days" ★★★★ (The List)

"What's not to love?" ★★★★ (The Times)

The Pokey Hat is a show performed outside in an ice-cream van.  Celebrating stories from Glasgow’s East End, this musical and interactive performance is a fun-filled trip down memory lane for all the family. Especially created as part of the Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme this summer. Ice cream cones will be handed out at every show!
